What are we looking for
We are looking for a QA Engineer with fintech expertise to join our growing team. The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Neem’s financial products—including payments, wallets, disbursements, and integrations with banks, telcos, and processors. This role involves designing and executing test cases, identifying bugs, collaborating with developers, and contributing to the overall improvement of QA practices.
Your responsibilities
- Assist in Test Planning: Collaborate with the QA team to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and identify test scenarios.
- Execute Test Cases: Perform manual and automated testing to ensure the functionality, usability, and performance of our platform.
- Identify and Report Bugs: Accurately document and report any bugs or issues found during testing.
- Review business and technical requirements to design effective test plans and cases for fintech use cases.
- Test bill payments, card payments, wallets, and disbursement flows across multiple providers.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and UAT testing on fintech features.
- Contribute to automation initiatives for API and regression suites.
- Support compliance and audit requirements by ensuring test evidence is properly documented
You should apply if
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- You bring a minimum of 1 year of QA experience, preferably within fintech, payments, or banking systems.
- You have a strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and the complete defect lifecycle.
- You are hands-on with API testing tools such as Postman or JMeter.
- You are comfortable using SQL for transaction and reconciliation validation.
- You are familiar with automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- You understand transaction lifecycles; from inquiry to execution, settlement, refund, and reversal.
- You have exposure to ISO8583, payment gateways, wallets, card schemes (Visa/Mastercard/PayPak), or telco integrations.
- You possess sharp analytical skills and can assess the operational and financial impact of defects.
- You communicate clearly and document effectively.
- You are a problem-solver at heart, with a passion for quality assurance.
